SERVICES / GRAPHIC DESIGN & BRANDING

Independent. Lancashire & beyond.

Clear ideas.
Strong
first
impressions.

Graphic design for businesses, schools and organisations that want to look consistent and communicate clearly. From a new identity to the everyday materials people see and use.

Brand, print and digital design. One person to work with.

GOOD DESIGN, WHEREVER IT APPEARS.

01 / A better fit for your business

Graphic design in Lancashire.
Clarity with character.

Your business should feel like itself wherever people meet it.

A logo is part of the picture. The colours, type, layout and everyday details around it shape how people recognise and understand your organisation — from the first website visit to the brochure they take away.

I’m JP, an independent web and graphic designer with over 20 years’ experience. I work with businesses, schools and organisations in Lancashire and across the UK, bringing a consistent approach to branding, print and digital design.

ONE IDENTITY. MANY POSSIBILITIES.

A point
of view.

Typography with character
Layouts with purpose
Details that belong together

RECOGNISABLE. CONSISTENT. YOURS.

02 / Thoughtful work. Useful details.

From the first mark
to the everyday detail.

A new identity, an important publication or an ongoing set of materials. We agree the deliverables and uses at the start, so the design is made for its real purpose.

Logos & branding.

A distinctive logo and a considered system of colours, type and supporting elements. Build a coherent identity or refine an existing one that no longer reflects your business.

Corporate graphic design.

Company brochures, reports, presentations and business materials that make information easier to follow. Give your team a professional, consistent visual language.

Education graphic design.

Prospectuses, school and college materials, event graphics and useful information for families and students. A clear hierarchy helps different audiences find what matters.

Print with a purpose.

Leaflets, stationery, posters and other printed pieces designed around the way they will be used. Artwork is prepared to the production specifications agreed for the job.

Digital campaign assets.

Graphics for the website, email and social channels you use. Keep launches, offers and everyday communications connected to the same visual identity.

A consistent next chapter.

Apply an existing brand more thoughtfully or bring scattered materials into line. I can work within your current guidelines and identify where a clearer system would help.

One-off project?
Ongoing creative support?

A defined design project

A logo, brochure or set of campaign assets can be scoped as a standalone job, with agreed deliverables, feedback stages and a clear route to final artwork.

An extra pair of hands

For regular design needs, we can agree how to prioritise and deliver the work. Useful when your team needs a designer who understands the organisation over time.

Need the identity to work online too? Website design and graphic design can be planned together, with one person connecting the details.

04 / A clear way forward

A good brief.
A stronger outcome.

You bring the knowledge of your organisation. I bring the design thinking to turn it into a clear, useful set of materials.

  1. UNDERSTAND

    Start with
    the purpose.

We talk about the audience, message and where the work will appear. Existing brand assets, content, deadlines and production needs help shape the brief.

  2. EXPLORE

    Find the
    right direction.

I develop the agreed creative direction around your organisation. We discuss the thinking behind the choices, so your feedback has a clear starting point.

  3. REFINE

    Make the
    details work.

We refine the chosen direction through the feedback stages in your quote. Content, hierarchy and consistency receive the same attention as the bigger visual ideas.

  4. DELIVER

    Ready for
    the real world.

I prepare the agreed artwork and file formats for their intended uses. For print, we confirm the production specifications and your final approval before output.

05 / A clear starting point

Designed for a purpose.
Quoted with clarity.

A clear brief makes a useful quote.

A single piece of artwork and a full identity have different needs. Tell me what you are creating, who it needs to reach and where it will be used.

Let’s talk about the scope

What shapes your quote?

  • The deliverables A logo, a publication, a suite of templates or a campaign across formats.
  • The starting material Existing guidelines, copy, photography and any work that needs updating.
  • The production needs Sizes, digital formats, print specifications and your preferred deadline.

Your quote sets out the deliverables, feedback stages and price. Print production, paid photography and other third-party costs are discussed separately. No VAT is added.

06 / Before we begin

Good questions.
Straight answers.

A little clarity before you take the next step.

Ask me about your project
Do you design logos as well as full brand identities?

Yes. We can scope a logo project or a fuller visual identity with colours, typography and supporting materials. The right starting point depends on what your organisation already has and how the identity needs to be used.

Can you work with our existing brand guidelines?

Yes. Send your guidelines and examples of the materials you use. I can design within an established identity, improve consistency or discuss a wider refresh if that is part of the brief.

Do you design for schools and colleges?

Yes. Education work can include prospectuses, information materials, presentations and campaign graphics. We agree the audiences, content, formats and approval process before the design begins.

Can you help with brochures and printed materials?

Yes. I design materials such as brochures, leaflets, posters and stationery. The artwork is prepared around the agreed printer specifications. Printing and delivery costs are discussed separately.

What files will I receive?

We agree the required formats in your quote, based on where the design will be used. Web graphics, print-ready artwork and logo files have different requirements, so the handover is planned around your project.

Do I need to supply the text and photography?

Tell me what you already have. Your quote will make clear what you provide and whether help with content or sourcing imagery is included. Any paid assets are discussed before they are used.

Can you support us with regular design work?

Yes. If you need a familiar designer for ongoing materials, we can discuss the workload and agree a practical arrangement. Marketing support may be a useful fit when the work spans design and your website.
